Default '98+ Trq numbers

Ive looked at a few sources including this forum and they said that the 3.8L has 225 trq. Which after driving the car for a while sounded kinda low. and today while looking in my owners manuel i noticed it said that the V6 has 200 HP & 305 trq. Which sounds correct to me. Soooo why do some soreses say 225? is that for the '97 and below?

Well, I would have to say that the owners manual has a mis-print. The actual torque rating on the 3.8L 3800 series II is 225 ft-lbs @ the flywheel, and it drops from there. The is no way your gonna get 305 ft-lbs of torque out of a 200 hp engine, unless it was diesel.

Our engines have 200hp/225tq at the flywheel, the engines are the same except with some very minor minor changes

This applies 1995-2002 and even beyond (Even the 3800 Series III has 200/225).
