A few weeks ago my car was misfiring horribly in cylinder three, the check engine light was blinking and it was reading cylinder 3 missfire and p0420. After some tests i noticed the coil pack was cracked. I replaced all 3 coil packs and the car ran great. Also replaced the cat and that removed the p0420 code. Now the car is reading p0300 (random misfire), and two p0441 (evap emissions system) codes. The car does not feel like its misfiring. It does have an advanced auto parts generic gas cap on it i think the brand is walt? Is it possible that the gas cap is throwing two evap codes and random cylinder misfire. I know sometimes codes trigger other codes, or possibly a purge valve? If someone could help me out here and let me know were to start i'd appreciate it.
