'95 3.4 to 3.8 upgrade, gotchas?
Hi all, I am considering upgrading my 1995 3.4 engine to a 3.8 liter -- are there any gotchas besides a new engine? i.e. any other parts which must also be upgrading like the PCM, etc.?
Any opinion on the worth of doing this upgrade? I have long thought that a little more power on the daily driver would be what is needed...
TIA!

Well, for a daily drive, I figured the 3.8 would make more sense since my other Camaro is an SS...
But hey, if you have some reasons behind your question that I should consider, I am all ears...

Because the 3.4 always seems to be lacking a little bit extra needed passing power... I can't tell you how many times I've wanted just a little more... but not V8 more...
3.8 series II is a rock solid engine...
If the 3.4 is in fine working order, I wouldn't touch it unless you do a V8 swap...
You could put some bolt-ons for it and gain a few ponies

3.4 to an 3.8,,, Would you just have to change the cam rock piston fuel inj & tune, and get like 220-250 in the 3.4 ???
You don't have to swap engine
You just got to know how to work it , LOL
