the roads are fine..nothing i know of has been replaced..the car has 165k on it..

Try plug wires. Seriously. Is the PCM flashing any codes?

no codes..another firend thinks it the od going out on it..so he has told me to put in 2nd and run it up to 55mph...any one want a 96 camaro?
