big problem 94 3.4 starts then dies good fuel pressure new pump and regulator but the brake light came on 20 miles away from where it died could the anti lock brackes shut it down? or cat pluged up?map sensor? anyone had this same prob ? or would appreciate the advice

 

ABS would not cause this. I would suspect a faulty crank sensor. Check engine light on? Does it die immediately or after a few seconds?

 

no check engine light on but it comes on and goes off periodically it just stars n dies about 2 seconds is all but before it did have a problem starting sometomes

 

Can you give it gas to keep it alive?

I am thinking it has something to do with or feeds the timing. Crank sensor(s), ignition control module, coils... That is what I think. Others should chime in here soon.

 

kool also i was on thehighway doing like 80 n the speedo would jump like to 60 then 100

 

Others have had erratic gauges when alternator or battery was faulty or on it's last leg.

 

ive been trying 2 start it for 2 days n its still cranking with no jump i think theres like a seperat computer just for the speedo n theres 1 in the tranny would that not make it run?

 

The VSS (vehicle speed sensor) should feed acouple things, butyou do not need it to run.
