94 3.4 v6 Camaro NO SPARK URGENT!!!!!
Greetings CamaroForums!
I have been a lurker here for a while and recently decided I need to get in on this friendly advice.
Here's the deal, did a 3.4 swap after my last one went. Replaced all gaskets, heads tested, flywheel surfaced, new clutch, rebuilt trans, new seals top to bottom gaskets and rings, new 3x crank sensor, new injectors, new plugs, new wires, new o2 sensors, new fuel filter, new starter and battery... Maybe missing some things...
Either way I have less than a week before I need this vehicle on the road.
Engine cranks strong and hard, no spark at plugs. 10v going into ICM and 12v reading on ground to pos terminal sane connector. I am reading that 12 volts is needed to engage the ICM. Would this 2 volt difference prevent my vehicle from firing??
Getting fuel pressure, attached plug wire to plug, grounded and cranked to get no spark. I'm thinking its the 2 volt loss or potentially a faulty harness.

going to have to go through and check al the plugins you undid or may have damaged. only takes one thats not right. look inside the plugins both sides and see if the metal parts inside are damaged or bent so as to not let it connect well. look for damaged wires. what year engine and what did you not change when engine was swapped.

Its a 94 camaro 3.4 swapped to a 95 3.4
Didnt change ICM or PCM. Kept exhaust and throttle body. Swapped some parts from old motor and mostly new parts on this one.
Im thinking its the icm. Only recieving 4 volts, but its not putting anything o the coils. So i know its bad reguardless.

So today i did more testing. Got till the end of the month to switch to my camaro.
The ICM is only recieving 4v on the hot wire. I am wondering where the continuity would be going?
Im seeing that im clearly not getting the 12 to the icm it needs... So here is the problem.
Now... How do i fix it?
If i connect an ohm meter to that hot wire and ground it would that tell me if its resisting too much?
Problem is i know the problem. Only i do not know how to go about fixing it.
Any ideas?
Battery reads 12.1
Terminals and grounds read 12.1
Somewhere... Im losing 8 volts. I followed the icm hot wire back to a "Y" in the harness behind the block and lose it there. Isnt it grounded with a ckp sensor to the pcm? Im ready to pull it to a mechanic and have them fix it from here.
Patience. And funds. Running. Low.
