3K rpm at idle, tries to die if you touch the gas
ok so i just baught a 97 3.8 yesterday for $400 and when i got it home i tried to crank it. it it very hard to crank you have to prime the fuel pump like 4 times then it cranks but idles at 3K rpm... now when you give it gas it jerks and jumps and tries to die, and if you get it rolling it drive a few seconds and acts like it shuts off. it you press the clutch in just a hair it runs ok, but still chokes if given gas... cleaned the TB and the MAF, TPS are new... the guy i baught it from gave up on it so does anybody have any ideas??? ANY AND ALL HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Check your fuel pressure. Any codes? Have you tried disconnecting the MAF sensor? Check it for vacuum leaks. If it is idleing at 3000 RPM its getting air from someplace.

not the whole car just the motor, it bucks hard... just for safe measure i changed the MAF, AIC, and the TPS and the only code it read last night what TPS low voltage... i fixed the vacuum leak yesterday. and the vac code was either 102 or 122 not sure but that is fixed, had a cracked hose...

the code is saying TPS low voltage but ive checked it and everything in the loop with it and everything has power just as it should so what could it be? everything else is scanning to be running just fine so idk...
