3800 motor change

yes that intake has the curve on it. so when i change the intake i should still do top and bottom?

I think he ment the intake Gorn. I would do them both as a set. I think the older ones are the same but just use your lower just to be safe.

If your gonna switch intakes and gaskets use no cheap alternatives or youll be opening that engine again as soon as a hot day rolls around.

I already put new gaskets in the other motor.. can i just put them on the other intake no problem? thanks for the info GORN

NO DONT DO IT!!! Once you torque a gasket down and apply heat to it, it will seal itself to the engine. Reusing said gasket is asking for trouble. It will fail and with that it could take out the engine as well.

Oil pan and valve cover gaskets are not as sensitive and can be reused if not damaged. These do not hold any pressure they just keep the oil inside the engine.

the motor has been sitting in a garage....its still not ok? I havent ran it or tried to start it because i didnt have the tools to change the motor then so i sat the motor to the side..... but i need to get new intake gaskets?

Good luck. Make sure u dont get your harness wires caught in behind your motor. We done that and had to take the motor loose again which was a huge pain.

So the motor and trans are now changed but tranny fluid is spilling everywhere and car wont shift into any gears?
