Default 3.8l aftermarket exhaust questions

I am gettin a 1996 camaro v6 3.8l thats bone stock. i want to put an aftermarket exhaust and ive figured half of it out. i am goin to put pace setter or hooker headers, and a flowmaster high flow cat. the tricky thing is i have listened to all the sound clips on you tube. and all the exhausts have that raspy noise in higher rpm's. is there any exhaust that wouldnt have that noise. and is there a website that you can view sound clips on that same car from different exhausts? and finally if i couldnt stop that raspy noise would it be sounding like that when im goin down the interstate at about 75 or 80?

thanks

please for the love god read the stickies in the V6 section. hookers doest make headers for 3.8s. unfortunatley due to the smaller size of the combustion chambers in a the the 3.8 no matter what pipes you strap too it at high rpm you gonna get the vibration we call rasp. i personally have headers and a magnaflow cat back and the rasp doesnt get bad till 5500 rmps

True duals with H or X pipe sounds mean.

Two 2.25' inlet diameter pipes is pretty close to the 3' systems some use.

true but i think the bigger part is the removal of the cat and muffler with straight pipes i suppose if you had a cated x pip and in pipemufflers you could get away with it though

It is the cost or time that strays away most folks, I agree.

I've also been pleased with the Magnaflo catback on my '01 3.8...
