Default 3.8 throttle body to a 3.4

Would a throttle body froma 3.8 bolt onto a 94 3.4 with no or little modifications? If so, would it affect anythinhbg enough to where i need to change pistons or fuel injectors or anything major like that, i hope not. Would i gain any power from it with out changing anything else.

No, it wont, or atleast im fairly certain that it wont. The 3.4 still has a throttle body cable attached to the gas pedal that manually pulls open the t/b. The 3.8 doesnt have any physical connection between the t/b and the gas pedal, there is a throttle position sensor on the gas pedal that tells a motor on the t/b how far open the throttle should be. I dont actually know if it would or wouldnt work, but it sure doesnt seem like it and unless you have other mods to use the extra air it probably wouldnt do much.

Sorry bout that rant there but to answer your question, it would require quite a lot of modification, probably tuning too because of the more involved computer aspect on the 3.8

kool, thanks, what throttle body would i be able to use to upgrade. Would one froma 4.3 fit onto it or any other motor? I'm mainly looking for the deeper more aggressive sounds, not so much performance, since it being a 3.4, never gonna get much performance out of it.

'99 is when they got the "drive by wire" throttle. http://www.ftpp.net/V6Main.htm

Click that, then click induction on the left, then click throttle bodies.

ok so...would the pre '99 t/b from a 3.8 bolt on to my 3.4? I would imagine it requires some modifications.

I'm not sure, but I would guess a bit of fabrication would be in order.
