Default 3.4-3.8 swap

Does anyone know if you can swap out 3.4 with a 3.8 in a 94?

Yes you can. You'll need the under dash wiring, engine wiring harness and PCM, tranny, fans, exhaust and a few other parts.

You'll also need pockets deeper than the Grand Canyon. Do yourself a favour and just buy a V8 car. It'll cost less.

^I agree. Or if you want to keep your car and get some serious power, do a 3500 top end swap and cam it. That's what I'm planning on doing. I've seen this done and the cars that it was done to were making 225-275RWHP with a tune. That's better than a stock z28.

Also, I might add, the top end swap will cost you less than $1000 with all the parts, gaskets, and the tune if you do the work yourself.

dont you have to change out the pistons as well with swap. i know i looked into the 3400 top end conversion when i still had my 3.4 in the car and that you need to change the pistons to make it work other wise the compression is to high.

If you are going to go from a 3.4 to a 3.8, it is the same process as going from any V6 to a V8. You will need an entire doner car. Just buy a 3.8L car it will be far cheaper and chances are, unless you are a very skilled mechanic it will be more relaible as well.
