Default 3.4 to 3.8

What all would need to be done to install a 3.8 into a 3.4 Camaro? Is it worth the change over? The engine that's for sale has a small tap when it warms up.
I have a 95 and the engine is a 99

The 3.4 and 3.8 have as much in common with each other as they do with the 5.7. You would need just as much stuff as you would to swap in a V8. I believe someone on here has done it, but didn't think it was worth it. This topic has been covered a million times, and a simple search would have answered any of your questions.

That small tap could be a rod knock = some repairs will likely be needed... But 3.8 over a 3.4? Absolutely. Even better if you had a 3.4 engine failure and an extended warranty and could pay the difference to upgrade to the 3.8.

LOL The differents between an engine repair and the Cost of a swap would be more then the car would be worth once it was done. What part of "you need to change so many part you will need a complete doner car" is confussing? It would take a mechanic 100+ hours to do the job right.
