Default 1999 camaro rough cold start,

if one of you guys could enlighten me it would be fantastic...
i have a 1999 camaro v6, about 90000km (i am in japan), and i just want some input as to what the problem is.
at cold start, the car has a pretty rough idle and gets a p0300 code, which i know is a random misfire. i didnt bother to check the code when i step on the throttle so i dont exactly know which cylinder is misfiring.
however, as the car warms up (about halfway on the water temp gauge), the rough idle goes away.
the car gets terrible mileage, i can smell that its running rich, and has about half the torque it should; it can only climb up hills when i step on the gas.

my question is, what can be possible problems when the car runs rough cold but better hot? i am thinking bad coil, wires, plugs, anything that a tuneup cant fix. if im missing something here, any input would be appreciated..

i should mention that the japanese here are not camaro-friendly to say the least.. i have limited supplies and none of the autozone-esque shops here even want to touch a foreign car.

I've heard of the coolant temp sensor for the computer giving trouble like this but have never seen it in person, so I can't confirm.

if you have access to a scanner hook it up and see what the computer is seeing as far as temp from the engine, coolant and air temps. look for a hotter temp than what it should be. also check your 02 sensors for fouling.

i took it to autobacs (the japanese version of autozone) and convinced the mechanic to let me look at the codes, and the only code that showed up was p0300. the temps were all normal, so id have to guess its the o2 sensors then.
on an unrelated note, im hearing a chirp-chirp-chirp squeak from the rear drivers side. is that the wheel bearing going bad?

Check the brake pads. make sure that if they have a wear indicator it isnt contacting the rotor when the wheel is spining. A bearing can squeak or chirp but would more likely growl. If the rear is ok may want to look at the front pads before assuming the rear wheel bearing sometimes the noise can seem to travel from where it is actually coming from (why they make chassis ear's). Its a job to replace a rear wheel bearing, you have to remove the axles from the rear end.

take the 02s out and have a look at em. take a few plugs out and look at em. see if either is fouled (all black) how old are the injectors, may want to take em out and have them cleaned and flow tested and check your fuel pressure, low or high fuel pressure can cause a rich condition.

well i fixed the intermittent squeaking noise. turns out i need wheel spaces because the rims the previous owner put on dont have enough clearance between the rims and the center of the brake caliper (if that makes any sense)
anyways, im looking into do a much needed tune up to replace the plugs, coils, wires etc. once it gets warm. thanks for your input guys
