1994 Camaro Convertible v6
I just bought a 1994 Camaro Convertible v6, and I would like to know what are basic things I need to check first under the hood.
I know I need to replace the water pump, plugs, idler pulley, and give it an oil change and coolant flush, anything else that I need to check on it?

I bought it for $450 since junk is so high right now that is the lowest they will go. I'll post pics latyer. The body is in good shape except for a spot in the hood, a small dent on the driverside quarter panel, and rust forming on the back of the driverside fender well. The interior needs a ton of tlc. The windows are all off track.
Go to autozone or oreileys and get an obd 1 reader if its not running right. I bought a camaro for 200 and it drove but horribly. Finally after a new fuel filter, pcv valve and fuel pressure check, I found out one of the ignition coils was shot. Cylinders 5 and 2 weren't firing and the car was running on four cylinders. After all 6 were firing I could actually listen to the engine because it wasn't bucking and puttering and discovered one of the vacuum hoses wasn't plugged in. Now she runs smooth and in the end the car cost me about $230. Now I need a new paintjob. But like I said it could be a number of things. Codes will help you narrow it down or your going to be all over the place. It could be bad plugs, coils, plugged pcv, bad MAF anything. The code readers require a deposit of like $ 200 but you get it back when you return it
