However, the schematic you posted shows the red wire on the L terminal, which is the one on the end.
I'm curious now, did you just buy this car with this problem, or have you had it a while and the charging system was working fine up to this point?

See the Connector View at the bottom.

I have a test connector with a 194 incandescent bulb inline...That I hook between the battery hot & Alternator L terminal. The Bulb will light up with the key off if the Alternator Regulator is correct...Then go out with the Engine on/Charging. This tells me if a wiring issue is present or I got sold a bum alternator &/or incompatible regulator.

I bought car not running I replaced fuel pump and got car running.I noticed charging system wasnt working,so I took alternator to autozone they tested it and said it was bad.so bought a new one,and still no charge. So I took it back to autozone they tested the new one and said it passed all test and was putting out 14.6 v so thats where I am now, in a nightmare..

ok,I see plug if it is pictured chronologicaly correct, looking at my plug same view, mine is reversed.L term on alt is third position from right, with bigger spade on right.
if that makes sense...
How can I rig the same bulb test for mine? Also so what your test reveals is there should be voltage present on L term on reg.with key off??

i am going to suggest you download the factory shop/service manual. it will have plug shapes and diagrams that let you know what goes where. takes some looking and reading but its all there. brb

Is this a 194 socket and bulb with alligator clips on each end of the socket leads and unplug the alt and jumper in the bulb?

Or is this test bulb an inserted light - unplug the alt, plug in the test light to alt harness plug and plug test bulb into alt receptacle?

Default 1994 camaro v6 no charge

ok,My car is now charging.14.43 volts.alt gauge is working.
Here is what I did.The small red wire from dash cluster to L term on alt.I took plug apart moved wire one slot to the right on plug, pluging it into the I (ignition) term instead of the L (dash light) term.now it works just fine.I talked to the alt starter shop I bought alt from.He said to do this.Alt still shuts of and on as normal.
Just wanted to share this info for anyone else who runs into this problem.
Thanks for all the help..this is a great site.

Good deal, and that coincides with where the schematic shows the wire to be.
