Default 1994 Camaro 3.4L o2 sensor question

Whats up fellas. I was wondering if anybody here can give me a hand. Yesterday I was replacing my buddys o2 sensors on his maro and the driver side was cake but the passenger side was a diff story. I wasnt able to get it off mainly because I didnt have any leverage. The alt and A/C lines made it hard. I was trying to take it off from the top because it is easy to access that way. I was going to try and go from the bottom of the car tomorrow but does anyone have any tips or advice on how to make things a little easier for me. Thanks in advanced!

Funny, I'm in the same boat. Can't figure out how to get that little bastard out of there! I'm beyond frustrated. I'm right about to get a pick axe!

Hey! I got it. Messed up my finger when the sensor broke loose, but it's out and the new one is in.

Use an 02 sensor socket -- you can get it at Pep Boys. It's got a cut out for the 02 sensor wire and its for a 3/8" drive. Use a 3/8" adjustable bend right at the socket and connect an extension on to that. Attach your ratchet, grab on with both hands, keep it as straight as humanly possible and go for it. You'll pop it right off. Don't smash your fingers like I did!

Good luck!

Did you use penetrating oil?

Maybe by the second day, it had soaked in and helped you break it loose, as well as the improved leverage.

I love those O2 sensor sockets!
