02 camaro to Trans Am body swap

thats a whole new subject in its own... put it this way to swap motors would cost more than your car is worth

its a great engine one of the best and yes they did come SC in the GTP but forced induction on a camaro is hard theres no space in the engine bay for a turbo and the stock SC wont work because of the TB

My plan, even though I haven't done much research for the camaro yet, is to do an STS rear mount turbo kit like what Im doing for my car. I would like to know what fuel & tuning mods would be needed to run about 5-7 psi of boost. My thoughts would be to use an ignition box with a boost retard function for timing but I dont know anything about the camaros fuel system other than when the pump went out, it was a pain in the but to change. Also I dont know if the factory MAF would support the boost or need to be upgraded.

a good place to start looking into a FI build would be FullThrottleV6.com - V6 5th Gen Camaro, Firebird, Grand Prix, and Mustang Tech Forums there pretty good over there

Thats cool. The wife realy could care less about more power. She just wants it to be pretty & have a bark that is worse than its bite. I tried to explain to her that only V8's sound like V8's but, a V6 can sound pretty mean too. So any imput on the rear spoiler swap would still be nice. Thanks guys.

mine sounded mean before i had to put in a new engine but now their is a misfire that i cant atend to so its like a chiwuaua with a gimp lol (their is unknown aftermarket pipes on it and no catalytic converter, i didnt do it but sounds good)

Ok to get the spoiler off you need to lift the hatch and pop off the plastic right under the spoiler. Then unbolt the Camaro spoiler and bolt on the trans am spoiler. They are the same hatch so it's just a matter of a few bolts to do the swap.
