hi. I just recently picked up a 02 3.8 v6 Camaro and was wondering what I need to do to make more power for least amount of money. (broke highschooler problem)

Sorry to say there is no quick and easy way. Headers/Cat back, 1.6 ratio rocker arm and a tune gona cost you 1200-$2000 and get you 25 HP at 5500 RPM. You will feel it but any modern rent a car is still going to walk away from you in any race.

The only way to make power in a 3800 is some type of cooled boost (turbo or supercharger) and that will cost you more them buying a V8 with a car wrapped around it.

 

focus on making it your car, first, brakes good? tires good? shocks good? tie rod ends, ball joints ok? after making sure car is safe and suspension is top shape. then on to wheels, stereo, tint, maybe lower it a bit. have seen some cool stuff with changing to led lights.
