I have a 1996 Z28 with 4L60E that only 1,2 and reverse work in and i have located some but need to know exactly what years will work in the car.

 

The "E" in the name stands for Electronic shift. Have you checked and verified that your problem is not with a shift solenoid or the valve body?
Sure would be a pisser to replace the whole trans if it doesn't need to be.
