Default Identifying a rearend

Im going to be picking up a rearend here in a few weeks but im not sure how to tell if it is truly out of a Trans Am like the guy says. It does have disc brakes but i dont know how to tell. Are there specific markings or numbers I should look for to know that im buying a rear so i can spin both tires?

spin one of the axles if the other axle spins the same way its lsd, if it spins opposite its an open diff. also you can get the gear ratio by spinning both axles 1 revolution and counting how many times the driveshaft yoke spins. ex. 1 rev of the axles, 3.73 revs of the yoke = 3.73 gears
