Default HELP! No 5th, 6th or reverse:(

My clutch went out of my 93' z28 a few months a go. I just got around to replacing it. The seal around my shifter was bad and was leaking so i put new silcon around it but when i put the shifter house back together i didnt get the shift forks lined up so when put it back together i heard a "pop". i didnt know what it was at the time.i put the transmission back in the car and i found out i didnt have 5th, 6th or reverse. i took it back out and took the housing off and after awhile of messing with it i got it to shifter in all the gears with the housing off. i sealed it back up and put the shifter hosuing back on. i put it back in the car and i still dont have 5th, 6th or reverse. WHAT THE HECK? any idea?

Did you forget that you asked that same question a couple weeks ago, and I gave an answer (copy below). Never heard back... https://camaroforums.com/forum/trans...se-help-60126/
That "POP" was most likely something cracking or breaking, and right then would have been a good time to take the shifter housing back off to take a look. You may not have had the 5-6 and/or reverse shifter rails lined up to the case, and bolting it together forced things till something had to give. I don't know if you could have gotten the 5-6 or reverse shift forks out of place and broke that when forcing the case parts back together, maybe. You need to open it back up and assess the damage, sure sounds like you broke something inside.
