Default HELP!!! Clutch Crap

When my car is running it wont go into gear. it just grinds. i put on a brand new master and slave cylinder and those work just fine. Am i going to have to take the transmission off or is there an easier way to fix this?

It helps to know what car and engine/tranny combo. But either way it sounds like you're tranny needs some work.

Did you use some penetrating lube on it. Try beating it around a little with a rubber malet? Once you get it off, would probably get a good idea to repalce the U joint.

so i still cant get into gear. i took the clutch out and it seems fine. used with some burn marks but can that be the reason i cant get into gear? my slave cylinder is pushing the fork just fine. brand new master cylinder too. im kind of scared that my transmission may be broke. if so, is it something i can fix myself?

Are you sure the the pressure plate is disengaging? follow the logic. For grinding to happen something must be turning. The job of the clutch is to stop the input shaft from turning. SO it is not possible to have a fully functioning clutch and a grinding noise. Either your hydralic system is not pushing far enough, or pressure plate is gone or your clutch plate is warped. If you SURE your hydralic system is working then install a clutch kit and all will be well.
