has anyone installed the transgo hd2 shift kit???
ive been searching forums reading all sorts of things about this kit such as installing only 1 of 3 spacers for the second accumulator and also theres a replacement part for the check ball in the input shaft and some springs for the clutch pack they require you to pull the pump out (a lot of places said if your running a stock converter you dont need these) and also the transgo instructions say only needed for turning 5500+ rpm...
anyways theres really no good howtos on the net so ive decided im going to do a thorough wright up
if anyone has installed this kit some tips/tricks would be appreciated

I think that I am like a lot of other shade trees out there. I have tinkered with my share of engines, brakes, rear ends, body work, and even done some painting and a couple manual trans and clutches.
But there is just something about the "magic" of an auto trans that just makes me pause and always take it to the shop for anything more than a simple valve or fluid change.
I have read a couple books and watched a few videos that show how to do a complete rebuild, and still I don't feel even remotely comfortable trying it. I fear that I would have a couple buckets of oily parts when I am done and no idea of how to put it all back together.
I wish you the best of luck on your rebuild / mods to the tranny and I hope you take a lot of notes and pics and make a detailed sticky to guide those of us who just don't have the gumption to try this yet.
