Default first gear slipping

I have a 1995 Camaro z28 with an auto trans and my first gear is slipping. IfI get on it too hard it will stall from shifting from 1st into 2nd. So I figured it was just a sticky valve and I had just bought the car so I just thought the guy had not changed the fluid in a while so I added lucas's trans additive thinking it would solve the problem and it didn't. Andactually the fluid looked a little burnt. So I ruled out the idea that it has a sticky valve. I'm gonna take it todo some tranny diagnostics and try to see what the problem is. What do you guys think it is? Has this happend to you?

Default RE: first gear slipping

Your transmission is broken, and needs trbuilding.
Possible causes:
Forward clutch assembly or accumulator
Input housing and shaft seal
1-2 accumulator valve stuck or damaged
Low roller clutch damaged or worn
Torque converter stator roller clutchnot holding
1-2 accumulator assembly bad
bad line pressure

so would it be cheaper to get it rebuilt or just go pick up one from the junkyard or something?
