did i install the tranny wrong?
i just swapped motors (3.8) and left the flywheel that was on the new motor which is just a bit skinnier then the one i had. then i installed the converter, then the transmission, then the drive shaft. i then took the car off the lift and went to move the car. with the tranny in neutral you can push it foward but can't push it back? i even installed a new drive shaft yolk. i then tied a rope to the rear to another car and tried to pull it and it wouldn't budge...wtf went wrong???

Sounds like you did not sync your trans selector cable. I cant link it right now cuz I'm on my phone.
You need to recheck your work before you crank her up. Your torque conventer is not engaged fully onto the transmission. Slide the torque converter onto the transmission first untill it doesn't go any further. Rotate the tc back in forth untill you feel it slide further into your trans Twice. If its not completely engaged your pump will be ripped apart. After that then you can bolt your trans to the back of the block and tc to fly wheel.

Based on what you typed you did not align the torque converter to front pump. This will wipe out the transmission.
