I got a kit for my 700R4 years back and decided I did not want to do it on the ground. You have to unblot the valve body and there are check ***** that will fall. A little grease will hold them in place during reassembly but when somthing like that happens it may put you into full panic mode.

so yeah huh???? i think im gonna have to pay to get it done??? unless i can find a schematic of where the check ***** belong??? i mean if they fall without me seeing them and where they originated from??, from 1-10 what do ya think the difficulty level would be??? i am pretty mechanically inclined so i have more then general knowledge of most things lol.

The instructions in the kit may say where the ***** go. The ones in my B&M kit did. (I have been told though by many that tranco is a better kit)
If you never tore into a tranny but are mechanicaly inclined I would say about an 8-9. Not only because of new territory but most likely you will be doing it on the ground in poor working conditions.
