well i have a 97 rs . my shift solenoid that went bad . i think is my down shift so. well any ways . that tranny has 145 k on it it don't slip or anything like that... is there up-grades other than a mount . im in houston were distances are great . so im in the free way most of the times .im going to put in a turbo or a t.t but thats later on this year . . if the world don't end in 2012 lol well oh and the rear end hums . . i forgot what the mechanic told me but i would like to upgrade that too . . .

auto 5 speed pro shifter s.g.s control the works with out the v8
if u going to say something about the lil v6 i don't want to hear it pls no hatters

pick up a posi rearend for it if you can find one in your area at a good price. if your gona build it then you need to upgrade the trany. i would call a place like performabuilt and ask what they can do. the 97 is a odd auto trany as it is and i dont know what the differences might be for the 3.8.

yah it may be. check your rpo codes. g80 is a posi. i think there inside the center console on your yr.
