Question 6 Speed Skip Shift

I did a search on how to disable the Skip Shift on my 2000 SS and i was surprised that I did not really find anything. Being newbie maybe I did something wrong in my search. Im sure many of us do not like this feature and have figured out a way to disable it without screwing up the car. Can anyone help me to find out how to do this, maybe supply a ling to a post on this site that I did not find?
Thanks

$30 for a little plug? All you really need is a 2.2K resistor and some electrical tape for < $1.

Or you could just unplug the solenoid and live with the SES light.

Yea stupid GM engineers what were they thinking. Oh yea, they were thinking, how can we give the 6 speed Camaros 19 mpg city rating?...... I dont see why everyone hates skip shift. If you let the RPM climb too much at light throttle it wants you to go to fourth... So dont wind first out so far, get into second earlier - the LS1 has PLENTY of torque to move the car from any of the reduction gears (1,2,3).

You can find them on ebay a lot cheaper. When you do it make sure you put it on the right plug and not the plug for the back-up lights.

The skip shift also eliminated the $1000 gas guzzler tax the buyer would have to pay. If anything you should THANK GM for makeing such a simple fix and workaround for us. It is easy to unplug and place in the eliminator, literally 30 seconds to do
