I have a 99 Camaro SS. My transmission has went out and i am looking for a replacement. I have found one from a 96-98 caprice. Does anyone know if this is a direct fit or if it even works at all. I have read a ton of post and kind of just have myself confused. Should i look for a trans from a 98-02 camaro or get the caprice one. Its got a fresh rebuild on it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Last year for the Caprice is 1996 and there is nothing similar between the 1996 Caprice and 99 Camaro with a LS1 in it.
