Hope someone can help me out. I have a 4l60e with 3 rd gear gone. I can get a 4l60 off someone for a good price. can I use this Transmission and just change my valve body from 4l60 to 4l60e? Thanks

 

I dont have an answer to your question but if it were my car i would rebuild the trans that is in it. Theres a good chance that you only need to replace the clutches/steels/seals and band and at least you know that you will have a strong rebuilt tranny without the guesswork. You never know why someone might be selling the replacement trans to you, its probably going to be shot too.

 

no your going to need to find another 4l60e, they changed the way the pump works in 95 also i believe the fluid flows differently between the two.
