you sure its the trans and not the rearend? you can download a factory shop manual here, use the 94fb its pretty close to the 95, trans is same. http://www.mediafire.com/?40mfgeoe4ctti
give you an idea what kind of job it is.

Yeah I'm pretty positive it's the trans. It definetly sounds like it's coming from it. It's a t56 tranny. I'm wondering if it could be something to do with the clutch

well I've seen a pressure plate go to pieces and it usually doesnt take long once it starts, I've seen a clutch plate come apart and it usually goes pretty fast too. i also had one slip for quite a while before i got around to changing. clutch can chatter, sorta jumpy. so once you get going you can go wot?

i find it hard to believe its your transmission if its only doing it at low speeds. if its trans it will want to jump, maybe outa gear. your going to have to take the trans out either way, i would look at the clutch first. clutch will chatter and trans or rearend will bang hard and make car jump.

Yeah it doesn't bang hard or anything. Just has a hard time catching the first gear I guess you'd say. Wow this is sounding like better news

Any chance it might be your trans mount being torn apart, allowing the tail of the trans to jump up some, and possibly trying to take the shifter part way out of gear?
