Default pulling my hair out!

well I have a steering wheel shake that is driving me crazy. Anything above 50 gives a good steering wheel shake... but car drives straight and does not pull i can let go of steering wheel and she goes straight but shakes back and forth like an 8th of an inch! Parts replaced so far..rims and tires.. inner and outer tie rods, wheel bearings, upper and lower ball joints. and i used moog parts had tires balanced and 2 allignments now. If you sit in passanger seat you can feel a "hop". tires are new 275 40 17 with new ekei rims.

Ive owned car for aprox 3 months previous owner said he hit curb. rim was bent on front and rear left (drivers side). car was dropped 2 inch but i put original springs back in.

Any and all ideas would be great. thanks in advance

May want to look at the rear end for a bent axle flange.

Sounds like a tires mis-balanced. Most common problem with a car that only shakes at certain speeds. Have them rechecked some where other than where you last had them done or take it back to the original place and tell them there is still a problem. Either or will work. The weights they put on the wheels can be thrown off if not put on correctly and will cause a car to vibrate. Only other thing is a tire with a broken belt inside of it.

When the front end was being worked on and aligned, did they check to see if your rack & pinion has any slop? The gears in your rack could be badly worn. With the wheels off the ground, grab a tire at 3 and 9 o'clock and try to rock it. With what's already been replaced, you shouldn't have any slop. Look for in and out movement at the tie rods while doing that. If you have some, the rack is shot.
