Default New Spring Help!

Hey everyone, been awhile since I've been on here, but I could definitely use your help. I'm currently in the process of upgrading my '95 Z's suspension and bought Strano's Bilsteins/Strano Springs package and had no issues getting the back done. However, once I got to the front, I realized I wasn't quite prepared for the necessary work so I brought it to my mechanic thinking it should be no issue for him. Well, I was wrong again. He doesn't have the right spring compressor to properly fit the front springs and he doesn't want to risk injury (especially with the "sloped" mounting plates) nor do I expect him to. So I bought my car to another local place to have the front shocks/springs installed, but they want to charge me almost $600 for just installation! I paid just over that to buy all the parts and have the backs installed! I'm debating just buying the proper tool for my mechanic and having him try again.

Now my question to you guys I guess is two-fold: how do you accomplish this install and do you know what the proper tool is for this job and/or where I could find/purchase the right spring compressor?

As always, I very much appreciate your help. Thanks again! Have a great Labor Day Weekend!

Anyone have some insight on the matter?

I'm looking to buy a Kent-Moore J 34013-B Strut Spring Compressor Adapter and see if that'll do the trick...

Thanks again1

i changed mine while off the car using the compressor the parts store had for sale. they looked like these s45c - Spring Compressor Kit - 300mm Length - ES#1306817 was not in good shape by the time i finished. doing off car made it easier. they are not struts, just springs.

We rented a spring comp. at Oreilly's and got it done, but was a huge pain! This was with the mounts still on the car.
