Hi,

thanks for your post. Yes, the 275s are not the improvement I expected. I thought maybe the new AS BFG GForce Comp is harder and didn't grip as well. I had the 255s on my 16"s before, thought they were great. I got less than 20K mi out of them.

I was figuring lowering is better because of geometry.center of gravity, but if not, I wont bother. Which would also save money from not getting the adjustable panhard. I was going to get one with the delrin spherical bushing on one side, but looks like SCCA does not allow it for Solo, so that could save me money as well. I dont need to save $100 particularly, but it can go into shocks.

Thanks!

lowering cost alot more then just keeping a stock tire on it or +1 .panhard bar traction bars an front shocks should give you better handleing all around ,when i did the back i could feel how stiff it was an how loose the front was ,.now with the front shocks an upper ball joints couse when doing shocks you have to do them anyway ,drives like new or better ,i did the lowers to ball joints just choice ,you can have greace fittings put on them too if there good ,i also did the sway bar bushings an rear bump stops all for less then $400.00 an a couple $200.00 to my buddie i help him do the work to though for front shocks panhard bar traction bars ball joints sway bar bushings,an a few other things ,i saved alot in labor ,some guys spend like 2 to 4k for the same thing ,but go to have the most exspencive parts ,oh also new shock caps as well .my springs were fine ,lowering a car can cost alot ,there already low enough for me at 6ft4 ,i get about 30k out of the 255 ,the 275 you may get less then 20k .,i rotate mine once a year but i only average 10k a year on my camaro ,so the more you drive the more they need rotateing

Fixed the VAT problem in the usual way, and found the squeaks are the real sway bar bushings (thats all that moves back there!) and the plastic piece between the rear wheel and fender where the gas filler is.

I have the prothane bushings and end links for the back, guess I should get the bushings for the front sway too. Looking to rebuild the front end, Debating replacing with adjustable control arms vs. the entire front end with new rubber.

Update, new rack and pinion and rod ends from Oreilly. Was a fun way to finish the day after attending an autocross event!
