Front Strut replacement ?
#42
Just do it man. haha The longer you wait the harder it will be because the rust gets worse. Worst case is that you just have to take your shocks/springs off yourself, then take them to the shop to have them remove the springs for you. But its tricky putting the spring over the new sohck, because you have to put the spring on in exactly the same place as the old one so the top mounts fits your mounting holes. I just made a mental note of where it was according to the bottom bolt holes, and had no trouble. You cant simply just put the spring on and then the top mount.... otherwise they wont fit!

If you mount the bottom of the shock in a vise (wrapped in a rag to protect it) and put a pry bar between the studs on the mount, you can spin the mount and spring on the shock base to get it to line up.
I had to do it with mine, as i didn't have them aligned right when I got it back from having the springs and mounts installed. It's pretty stiff, but it will move.
