Default front end replacement

so im about to crawl under my ladies 93 v6. when given it she was told that "someone had wrecked the car and broke the front end" . so shes got an entire front subframe assembly ready to go in. im talking Subframe, steering rack, suspension, rotors, and maybe even calipers. im fearful the subframe is somehow warped making it where when i goto install the new one nothing will line up

im new to camaros but from what it looks like ive gotta disconnect braking system, power steering pump, steering column, subframe bolts, and shock tower nuts/bolts. does anyone have knowledge on this? and yes...im not a newb to car forums. ive done some searching.

thanks guys

First take a pic of under the front end, I want to see what a "broke front end" looks like since i have never heard that term used(I'm guessing this was not a professional body guy).

I think replacing the entire front assembly does not make since as i cant see how you would damage every part of it, and if you bent the main section, then the body itself would be damage aswell.

so post pics please, and we will help from there.

Whoooly crap...is that even worth saving? Your def looking at a new front spindle/ball joints. That tie rod looks bent. Download the service manual and track down the wiring. Thats going to be a ton of work. Is it really worth it to you or her? I guess as a project it might be something fun to do....maybe....whats the rest of the car look like?

If you have the complete replacement to bolt on already, i would go for it. It would be a lot more easy then replacing part by part. Just support the engine and drop the entire old one down.

You'll need a complete front end to fix this. They don't make aftermarket replacement spindles for these cars.

Like i stated above, just slap the replacement assembly in, and run with it.

P.S: Spindles or a dime a dozen at salvage yards, just putting that out there. There is also a company that sells refurbished spindles.

I've got a complete front end ready to go in. Subframe, hubs, brakes, shocks/springs, lca's, steering rack. I guess ill take my hoist over there and give it a go. Already borke all bolts loose and they seem good so why not try.

However....I did tell her even with all her spare parts its gonna cost a lot to get rolling good. It apparently won't run. I'm told it doesn't get spark for some reason. I sat in it and it seems like the brake booster is shot. And the e-brake has zerooo tension on it. I'm willing to throw money at something like this tho. I primarily work on tuners but I've always been a big camaro fan and would love to build this thing with her. You guys know how it is when a girl actually wants to be involved in car stuff with you.

So as of now we've set aside sundays as our church/camaro/walking dead day and ill make a build thread and throw it up. Ill keep this one updated till the new front end is in...I have a feeling there are more surprises that await.
