Eibach Sportlines Install
So, continuing with the upgrades, we started the lowering springs install this weekend.
Here's the new:

Eibach sportlines and QA1 panhard bar.
We got the rears done on Saturday, after much screwing around with the drivers side bolt on the panhard bar, we eventually just cut the head off and drove the bolt through. It was seized in the bushing and we had to use the impact hammer to drive it through.
The rest of the rears was VERY easy. Undo the bottom shock bolt, lower the rear axle, and the springs pulled right out. Install new ones, bolt everything back up and it's done. Except for the links of course, I am picking them up this afternoon.

Rear spring comparison:

Fronts were another story altogether.
After breaking both sway bar links, we undid the upper ball joint, undid the bottom shock bolts, undid the top strut mount bolts, they pulled right out.
Only to find that the top nut on the shock was so badly rusted that it is impossible to get them out of the strut mounts.

So, on Monday, I am getting KYB AGX's for the front, along with new mounts. Yippee.

This will successfully eliminate the rest of my upgrade budget for a long while....wife is getting VERY grumpy...

Well, they are in, and it is LOW....
Before:

After:

Still need to clean it and do a few other minor things, but it looks pretty good I think.
Took it out for a quick rip (still pretty sandy on the roads here) and it was good, not too stiff. I have the shocks set to "2" right now, on a scale of 1-8. I will play around with them a bit once it clears up outside to see what I like best.
Dropped it about 1 3/4" in total, as advertised. I imagine it might settle a bit as I drive it too:

Blew through a 1/2 tank of gas today cruising around and all I can say is WOW.
What a difference those shocks and springs made on this thing in the corners.
I can feel the bumps and sways in the road a bit more, but cornering is night and day to what it was on the OEM stuff.
I can't wait to do the sway bars, SFC's and torque arm now....I hope it has the same kind of improvement!
Super happy with this mod!
