Almost done!
Well I should finally get my baby back next week, just finishing up at the alignment then off to mount my new (bigger) tires and she's done (for now).
Here's a couple pics from underneath.

I dropped quite a bit of coin on her but I spent all last winter surfing craigslist and ebay and internet forums for parts saving a lot of money.
A lot of it was new in the box like the K-member and A-arms bought but never installed on cancelled projects that I got for about 1/2 the cost of new.
The LCAs torque arm panhard and driveline loop are all used but very little and looked like new.
I got a Tick Performance adjustable clutch master new in the box but second hand with the speed bleeder for 1/2 price.
I worked a lot of voluntary overtime this year, more Saturdays than I've had off to make car parts money.
I found a set of LS6 heads from an '04 Z06 Corvette and had new Comp Cams springs installed and bought a new Comp Cams cam .617 lift and new GM LS7 lifters. Bought the new lifters from an overstock site on eBay for less than 1/2 of what Summit or Jegs wanted. Paid full price for the cam the springs and hardened pushrods as well as a Ketech timing chain set on GM sprockets. The rest of the motor is original with 87K miles, being its an '01 SS it came with the LS6 intake so the only bolt ons are the headers and ORY. Those were the most expensive parts, top notch stainless steel American Racing Headers cost me $1400 with the ORY.
I also bought a new LS7 clutch kit from Tick with the optional lightweight aluminum RAM flywheel and a new GM slave, that wasn't cheap at almost $600 but still less than a lot of other clutches that can handle upwards of 500 hp. I bought nice set of Strano sway bars new in box secondhand from the same guy as the K-member and the bought new Koni "yellow" sport shocks and Strano springs new at full price $1100. And lastly a new MGW short throw shifter. The car made just shy of 400 rwhp (398hp/385tq). Oh and I got tires off eBay,a take off set from a Porsche Dealer for the rear with 99% plus tread ( basically new) Michelin Pilot Sport 315/30-18 for 1/2 the cost of new and a brand new set of Pilot Sport 275/35-18 for the front that are 3 year old stock for 1/2 price of new.
The car already had 18" Z06 style wheels that they will fit on ,had to buy longer studs (ARP) for the rear and wheel spacers (hub concentric) for inner clearance.
Yes lots of money but far less than it could have been and done over the course of a year. I have some take off parts to sell to recover a bit of it, already sold the stock LS1 heads and still have a nice set of Eibach lowering springs for sale and a B&M "Ripper" shifter among other bits.
My take off tires are real nice and soon up for grabs too,265/35-18 front and 285/35-18 rears. Still paying for the labor and tune at Wong's Performance but I used a credit card offer with 21 months @ 0% for that and should have it paid off well before next Summer.

I know that feeling, I had a few 7 days a week too...though all my money is going towards a house and paying off the last bit of student loans and knocking my truck loan down. I could use my credit card, but I try to keep them free and clean for emergencies. Though, I will buy big needed purchases (like new truck tires) on them. I always pay more than the minimum so the balance usually gets charged very little interest.

I have my truck payment with 2 years left on it, and my student loans which should be paid off by the end of the year. The Camaro and the Jeep were both paid cash and bought for less than $2k. It'll be nice to get a house now that way when I'm just starting my 50s it'll be paid off.
Nice, Y2Y, but ... they are never done.
Same here, house paid off a few years ago, no C/card debt, all vehicles paid, good health, so I bought myself my 40 year work anniversary gift, '67 Camaro, right place, right time, ordeal.

You're right they're never done, already making plans for a mew more things next Spring but she's done for now, drove her home last night in the rain. She's dirty but in the garage, it's supposed to clear up this weekend so I'll pull her out for a wash and take a spin.
