Default 96 z28 build almost done

ok so i havent posted here in a while. i have been working on my car(1996 z28) slowly but surly. i was wondering expectations from you guys. i have researched everything done before it was done and have gotten great expectaions from other camaro people around my town and the people who are going to be dyno tuning my car have great expectaions of it. ok so off the top of my head everything that has been done to the car and what im going to do to it before tuning or running the strip.

383 stroker kit all from eagle bored .30 over blue-printed and balanced flat top pistions
heads are being worked to a maximum by the same guy who is building the motor
k&n CAI
edelbrock (red) air-gap intake
edelbrock 58mm throttle body
pacesetter coated lts and ypipe with cutouts off of both headers to the y pipe
ac delete
mt 315 DRs on 15inch rims
fully built th350 transmission (up to 1000hp)
moser 12bolt 3.23s
36lb injectors
2500 stall
6 point roll cage
160 thermostat
8mm plug wires
jet dynamic tuning
lt4 hot cam kit with 1.6 rockers
roller lifters
edelbrock nitrous system(not sure on the size of shot yet)
sub-frame connectors
drive shaft loop
upper and lower control arms
tubular k-member
lots more i just dont have my book with me right now. almost everything is done all i need now is to get the heads done and it will be ready to go. also i have to break it in 3500 miles and get it tuned and see what i come up with. the guy who built the motor is well known here in alabama he is the best guy around here for this and is positive this car will be in the 600rwhp range and all that i would have to do to see that go up to 900-1000 is to change the pistons and put twin turbos on the car(and i have those just not the turbo manifolds, i have the piping and intercooler just not the manifolds and do not know where to find any or anyone who could make them for under 4grand) any advise with proof of some where i may have gone wrong please let me know. this car is still going to be on the street so i didnt want a higher stall and ive seen alot of positivity with the lt4 hot cam kit before anyone disses the cam choice the guy that built my motor said the lt4 was about as big as i needed to go without over-caming. and please estimates on power. im sure to run a 10 in the 1/4, let me know what you guys think.

I personally think the estimates are a bit high. The LT4 hotcam is actually pretty mild and it's potential as a cam can be seen in full by an otherwise stock motor. The heads are going to be a big part of the equation, so you better hope the guy knows what he's doing. You also left out some info that could be helpful, such as the compression ratio you'll be running with the reworked heads. The Edelbrock intake doesn't necessarily flow any better than the one you have, the only difference is that it's the LT4 intake, so the ports are raised .10" over the LT1 intake, internally they're the same. If you actually plan on making your 600 HP number, I hope that you got at least 32# injectors because the stockers probably won't be able to keep up, especially with a 383. The motor has potential for sure, but I'm not sure with the cam and only reworked LT1 heads that you can reach the 600 HP mark. Post up your numbers and let us know what you put down!

the edelbrock intake is much bigger then the lt1 intake i found some site where they tested them side by side and there was a huge difference and as i said on the cam the guy that is building the motor has been doing it for almost 30years and is the BEST around here and he said that the lt4 was about as big as i could go and yes the guy knows what hes doing and im not sure on the compression im almost positive its a high 11:????

Then you don't want to put turbos on it. Recipe for disaster right there. Unless you want to run 110 octane race fuel on the street anyway.

Oh ignore me. I just re-read the changing the pistons part.

Pretty easy. Get a flange, some 1 7/8" bends, and find someone that can weld. Heck, even a decent log manifold would work great.
