Just came home with a 97 camaro ss. It needs a bit of work and it has high miles. First thing I have to do is fix the transmission, it doesn't have reverse and makes a bit of noise. Just curious as to how difficult it is to rebuild 6 speed, is it something I can do in my garage?

welcome to the forum, post up some pics when you can. as for the trans, manual transmissions are a lot easier to work with than autos. if you have the know how and the tools maybe its something you could tackle. pick up a T-56 assembly manual that will help especially when you look at a roll pin or something and think "damn where did this come from".
