Nice. My trip meter doesn't work at all. I opened it up and tried to fix it and just made it worse.

Kudos to you for tackling that job! I'd be so worried about pulling apart my dash and odometer...

Really not that bad. Hardest part was finding a functioning trip meter. That and removing the dash panel to get to two screws holding the instrument panel bezel in place. I have a new dash panel so it comes out without breaking. If yours is original, count on breaking it trying to remove it. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of 7 mm screws holding everything in and some torx head screws holding the cluster together. While you got it apart, upgrade the bulbs in the cluster to LED.

Found mine on ebay for $250 + $30 to ship. Jim Butler Chevrolet. Thats the cheapest I founf anywhere. Someone should really learn to fabricate an aftermarket one....they could make some money!

No kidding! I would pay up to $100 for a repop, over that is just crazy....at least for my car which is far from perfect.

Also if someone made a center console lid at a decent price, they'd sell quickly.

I debated a long time, but mine was missing the dash panel completely, PO removed it. Bugged me that it was not there. I had a carpeted dash pad on it, but you could still see bare metal at the edges. Even though I bought the dash, I still keep the pad on it for 1) hoping it will protect it from UV rays and 2) cut out the glare form the thing on the windshield.

^ That's nice, but somebody needs to make them out of PVC instead of ABS. ABS could still crack if bent too far, PVC can bend a lot without cracking. I know the frustration too, having put a moon shaped crack in my old dash for simply wanting to fix a dash bulb.
