FYI that looks like the same lift I used to pull the motor from the bottom. Car is pretty light without the K member/engine/tranny/front suspention still siting on the floor.

Harbor freight 1 ton lift worked fine. Infact it had a tuffer time picking up the v6/tranny as a units then it did picking up the front of the car.

yeah, well like I told Wham, it's too late now . After all, hindsight is 20/20. I'll keep that in mind next time I have to pull the motor...which hopefully isn't for a very long time lol.

here's a pic of the (almost)-finished interior:

I also switched out the stock taillights for the tinted ones that are on the '94. I'll try to get better pics as soon as I can.

forgot to add one thing: the reason we needed a new transmission.

notice the GAPING hole in the bellhousing. The crack goes all the way around to the other side. I have no idea how it happened, we just found it like that when we dropped the trans before removing the engine.

Very nice work on the Camaro so far! That's always been one of my favorite colors on the 4th-gens, too. I'll be looking forward to the progress pics.

'OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE MUSTANGS' LOL

Camaro's do tend to outperform an equivalent mustang - it doesn't hurt to remind people of this fact.

BTW you are truly dedicated taking on a project of this size. I'm happy I bought a car that's almost the way I want it.

got the exhaust manifolds off yesterday and got the headers in place (that was a pain, let me tell you ). Should be getting the trans and torque converter installed today, and we're getting gaskets for the headers tonight so we can install them correctly.
