woundering
hey guys i have a 95 camaro with the hard top i really love the car but i gave it to my g/f and we decided it needs some tlc lol i wanna put either a removable hardtop (never seen one on a chevy but has good lines for it) it t-tops also i want to paint the interior to mach the factory purple like the gray parts (it has the black gray int.) and just basicly clean it up but not rice it out any suggestions would be much help .
you need to use punctuation when you post so you will be easier to understand, but with what I got out of your post is that you want to put a removeable hardtop on you car and purple interior?
purple interior, in my eyes, will look like crap. by the time you did this properly it would have been a lot easier and cheaper to just have bought new panels anyway. if you don't prep and paint plastic parts completely right, it will show and won't last long at all, and as it starts chipping and peeling it will look REAL bad
as far as your removable hardtop goes, forget about it. if you have a car that needs a "little tlc" and are asking these types of questions (glad you are asking though), you don't have the knowhow or really even the right car to start this type of endeavor. there are also probably very few shops in the country that could do this properly anyway
just the top alone would cost you way into the thousands (probably more that you paid for the car), and even if you were going to do it, you would have wanted to start with a ragtop car
