Question Trunk Latch Issue

My trunk wont open, the locking mechanism broke, but the latch mechanism seems to be ok, when I push the button in the glove box i hear a click but nothing happens...... it dosent help that my pistons dont work, i know this because i unbolted the whole assembly and had to raise the lid, which is very heavy, but my question is how to see if maybe the relay is bad of can it be something else, i would not mind if only the button worked, but i would like to have a functioning trunk.....

I will try what you suggest but the clicking is in the dash possibly from a silver box, and it dosent seem to go any further than that, I cannot get it off the trunk lid....

ahhh ok. you need to pick up a shop manual for you year. 93 factory manuals are not to much. heres one for 15 bucks, not in the best of shape but better than payin 60. 1993 Camaro OEM GM Factory Service manual on eBay!

check all your fuses, in both fuseboxes, the dash side and under the hood.

they are all the same except the abs so if you think one is not working (except the abs one) then you can exchange them with one you know is working. if problem follows you know its bad.

You sure it's electrical? F-Bodies are notorious for inadequate springs that assist the hatch pop... In fact, I need to upgrade mine on my '02 RS...
