Try having a friend lift up on the hatch right when you press the button. I know sometimes my won't actually "unlock" if I'm at an angle and sometimes even on flat ground. Other times, it won't have a single issue and pops up just as it should.

Well I used a meter today to test the connector for the relay, it works, and with the relay in place and the meter on the soleniod connector for the hatch is reads that it works, now i had to trick the sensor on the latch itself and create a false latch, so when the button is pushed power goes from the relay to the soleniod, but it seems that the latch system in non fuctional, so I will replace the latch and I do need to replace the springs aswell, hopefully that solves the issue

Sorry for the slight hijack here guys...

Liberty, does yours pop, but not far enough to release from the hatch? And only sometimes? That keeps happening to me, and it's irritating.

Thumbs down

Mine pops, but not high enough to fully unlock, looks like unlatches the first step but not the second -- i.e. the trunk ajar light will stay lit but hatch still will not open...

If I push the button AND lift at the same time as the electronic unlock, it will lift right up. VERY irritating!

Would you believe I bought a spring for that fix years ago, and still never got around to it?! lol

Yep, that's it!

Thanks for the link 69.

Maybe I'll be able to beat Liberty's time to get the job done.

update on my issue: The Relay has been replaced and I can read power to the latch connector, I am almost certain that it the latch itself. I will be replacing this part aswell as the springs, but in due time.... Thanks for all the help guys!
