Question Strange wiring

I have the strangest wiring problem. I've asked on here before about this and have tried everything. So basically when i press my brake pedal in my tach and speedo will bounce. Along with a slight popping in my speakers and 2 of my dash lights will illuminate. I've checked all the interior grounds and have removed the instrument cluster and cleaned the contacts. I can not figure it out. Everybody says its a bad ground but if it is, i can not find out where. If anybody has any suggestions what could be causing this that would be greatly appreciated.

Yup. Only when the brakes are pressed and the car is either in park or neutral.

Nope. Nothing happens when in any of the drive gears. Only in park or neutral. doesn't matter if the vehicle is running or just in the on position. but ill try the brake switch when i get home.

im wondering if one of the lights is grounding a hot line. if you got time pull the brake light bulbs and see if any look damaged or oddd.

After what i just found. I wouldn't be surprised. I redid my fuel pump, but while in the process i decided to take out all the plastic interior panels too clean them. I found the most absolute worst speaker wiring ive ever seen. The guy i bought it from must have been something special because he had three leads split off of the original wires. 1 of the leads was for the original speakers, another lead was just bare wire, and the third he had connected to after market speakers. I think the bare leads were rubbing against the body and shorting out the system which would explain why my speakers would crackle every time i hit a bump or what not. But unfortunately i haven't found my original problem. I also found a random wire not connected to anything behind my heater control and all that fun stuff. It looks to me like it was one of those auto zone led kits and some wires were left behind. This worries me because he might have tapped into a ground or something behind my dash board. and that will be a ***** to try and find. As my original project was the fuel pump i didn't look into it any further but it looks like i have a new project for tomorrow. lol. Also now that i think about it, there is a piece missing out of one of my tail lights glass, maybe water is getting in and shorting it out causing my bouncy needles. But you would think that would only be a problem when it rains. I guess ill just keep making my way through the wires and see what i come up with. Will keep this post updated with my progress.

the wiring by the tank may be the issue. brake light wires do go through there somewhere so it may be your on the right track

Okay. I narrowed it down to the blue connector thats on my main break switch. I dont know what the small one does but its not the problem. The brake light connector is fine but what ever the blue one is thats whats causing my problems. I drove the car around with the blue one unplugged and it seemed fine, no dash lights other than my abs light. But thats always been on.
