i had a custom shop make me one very similar to this for a set of 12's. it worked great and i put my amps in that same location too. still had room for a few bags of groceries, even.

Ok so I got something in my 99 as well, it's a JL Audio 10" stealthbox and it hits HARD! Also have 2 JL Audio amps, a 500x1 powering the sub and a 4x300w pushing the door and rear speakers (MB Quartz). Got the subs stuffed in the hole where the spare tire and jack were located at. Will snap a shot of it and upload it here tomorrow sometime. Still got plenty of room for the t-tops and all the other stuff back there. Don't lose any room, which is great, aside from the spare tire and jack there lol.

Sub box actually fits in there better than the other image shows from the jl audio website.

Default Bigger isn't always better

I have a 8" sub powered by a 400W amp.

It sound great for the size of the car.
