Default New Seats in a 4th Gen

So, I'm not a real big fan of my Camaro's interior. See picture:

Is it possible for me to take the front seats out of another car and put them in my car?

For instance, if I am junkarding and find nice, leather seats from a 98+ Camaro; will they bolt right in? (Mine is a 96)
The mounts should be pretty similar?

Will I be able to take the leather seats out of another car, for instance a GTP, and put them in my car? Are seats all that much different from car to car? Is there anyway for me to know before purchasing seats and getting them home, only to find out it's going to be a major PITA or not worth it?

As far as seat swaps they usually aren't that bad. Reuse your own seat tracks. It doesn't matter about the shape of the body if you are using tracks that already fit it because the bottom of the seat is going to be flat either way. The only thing you may have to do from that point is fabricate brackets as sort of a "middle man" to bolt to the seat and to your stock tracks if the bolt holes in the seat don't match the tracks. Either that, or you can buy universal tracks from jegs or summit that they sell for racing seats. Most of the time, when you do that, you lose the capability to adjust your seat though, just a heads up. You have to adjust the seat to where you want it and then tighten it down. Good luck and I hope you get the look you are going for.

Could always buy some racing seats from Summit. They're nice and comfy...but require different mounting brackets.
