Default Multifunction switch - no high-beams

I'm hoping someone has some experience with this. Everything works on my multifunction switch. The only thing that doesn't is my high-beams. The switch won't stay on? Do I need to replace the switch itself or the piece the switch goes into?

the switch is down the columm buy your feet. theres a arm that goes down to it. the blinker switch is in the upper columm, the cruise control switch is in the handle. it sure sounds like the switch is bad. could it be its not fully clicking it in? brb

Thanks for your reply craby. When I push the switch in for the high-beams it doesn't click or stay in. In this link: 95 Camaro Multi Function Combination Switch | eBay

the switch looks like a nub that fits into a housing. I have no problem replaceing the switch, but I don't want to buy one and it end up being a different problem.

should pull back toward you to dim and high beam. do you still have the cover on the backside of the blinker handle base. make sure the base is not moving with the handle. mind does that, it has a crack in the housing and i put a black zip tie on it to hold it. heres a dimmer switch. If it was the same problem as mine, (where you pull to engage the brights but it doesnt click on) what I had to do was move the bracket that holds the switch that engages the brights closer to the drivers seat. its held on with two bolts which are a royal pain to get to even if you have small hands. just take off the two bolts that hold the steering column up which will let it drop down and then you can (after much cursing) get to the bolts, slide the bracket forward, and re-tighten
