Default Master Power Window Switch Problems.

Both my drivers side and passenger side switch bezels and switches have popped out of the door handle frame and the clips are broken. I was told by the dealer that this was a common problem among these cars and would be an easy fix which it is not.(2001 v6). I was wondering if anyone has found a way to tighten them back down so that I don't have to end up buying replacements.

This is the peice that has popped out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-02...Q5fAccessories

I was thinking of just screwing the bezel into one of the switches plastic peices but am saving that as my last option.

Any creative ideas?

why not get new clips. http://www.gm-auto-parts.com/seccat/...796/157/31796/
there is a write up on how to fasten it down, i think is was with fishing line. if i remember right a hole was drilled in the switches and line was run through and down to the fastening screw at the bottom and once the door cover is replaced you pull the lines tight and tie off at a screw then tighten the screw. cant find the dang write up though.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea with that fishing line. I'm gonna have to try something like that out myself.
